What does breakfast cost?What are the school hours?

The school day begins at 7:45 and ends at 2:00. Since school personnel are not available to supervise, children are asked not to arrive in the schoolyard until 7:30.

Do you serve breakfast?

Breakfast is available every morning immediately before school starts at all schools in Quincy. Breakfast consists of a selection of cereals, muffins, bagels, peanut butter, cream cheese, fresh fruit, fruit juice and milk.

The cost for breakfast is $1.00 cents at elementary schools. Students who are eligible for Free or Reduced price lunches are automatically eligible for free or reduced price breakfast. The cost for a reduced price breakfast is 25 cents.

How much does lunch cost?

Elementary full-price student lunch is $2.00. The cost for a reduced price lunch is 40 cents. Milkis served with all lunches. The cost of purchasing milk only is 40 cents and milk choices include 2%, 1%, and 1% chocolate. Some lunches also include fruit juices in addition to the milk.

What is the homework policy?

The homework policy for each grade level is clearly listed in the Student's Rights and Responsibilities handbook which goes home each year.

Are after school programs available?

After school enrichment programs are offered to students on some afternoons from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Staff members plan, organize, and notify parents of current opportunities. Children and their parents indicate the programs in which they are interested. Participants are selected on a space available basis. Programs are repeated during the year.The Wollaston School is also a site for the site for Quincy After School Child Care (QCARE) provides enriching, licensed care each weekday from the time that the final bell rings until 5:30pm. Participants can enroll for the program for each afternoon or as little as two afternoons per week. The program is not operated by QPS.
